The mission of Emerald Heights Academy is the harmonious and complete formation of young Catholics -- intellectually, spiritually, and in how they respect and serve others. This integral formation provides the basis for them to take their place in society and lead it to a better, more Christ-centered future.

Intellectual formation consists of imparting broad-based knowledge in all areas of curriculum in a challenging and vibrant way. Human formation develops the character of the individual through good study habits, sports, the habit of reflection, public speaking, social skills, self-discipline, culture, and etiquette. Spiritual formation encourages a close relationship with Christ through prayer and reception of the sacraments and is complemented with the study of the faith. Apostolic formation makes present the needs of others, fostering an awareness of our social responsibility and providing opportunities for service.

The result of this integral formation is a leader well prepared to take his or her place in any sector of society to imbue it with human and Christian virtues and values. In all aspects of life the student of Emerald Heights Academy is called to be a bearer of truth and a catalyst for justice and charity.

Pope John Paul II emphasized the call at the closing of World Youth Day, August 20, 2000, when he set the standard by proclaiming, "if you are what you should be, you will set the whole world ablaze." Emerald Heights Academy prepares its students to meet this challenge.
