Details: Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s): Art Grades K-12 Teacher Location: Administration Building Job Summary: Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking fulltime elementary, middle, and high school Art Teacher candidates for the 2018-19 school year. A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) art teacher provides an arts program based on the National Core Arts Standards for regular and special education students which is appropriate to their needs and developmental level. The art teacher provides creative opportunities for all students in a variety of mediums. The MPS art teacher works collaboratively with school staff in order to integrate core curricular areas into the arts experience. In addition, they work with various community arts partners in order to provide additional high quality arts programming for students. The visual arts program is offered in an equitable, multi-cultural setting and teaches all children to think deeply, critically and creatively. The teacher's work supports the MPS strategic plan.
