Henry County has a population of approximately 56,942 people and covers an area of 384 square miles. The county was founded in 1776 and lies on the border of Virginia and North Carolina. It was named for one of its famous sons -- Patrick Henry.
The mission of the Henry County Public Schools is to ensure that all graduates are prepared to enter and complete further academic or technical education or enter and advance in the skilled workforce. Through shared responsibility of staff, students, family, and community, we will enable our students to become productive members of society and life-long learners.
