The Children’s Guild, Inc. was established in 1953 by three well-known people from Baltimore, one of whom, Dr. Leo Kanner developed the field of Child Psychiatry at JHU. The Children’s Guild operates three-day school campuses in Annapolis, Baltimore, and the College Park area as well as two group homes for boys in Baltimore.
In our schools a dynamic new approach is used to deliver education to non-traditional learners. “Transformation Education” allows students to be immersed in the learning process through using the environment, the senses, the classroom and all forms of creative music, drama and art. Behavior and academics are addressed through the consorted efforts of the educational and clinical faculty. We have met with great success in sending students back to public school well prepared to succeed.
We are looking for staff members who think “out of the box”, believe that all children are gifted and will go the extra mile to find a child’s gift as avenue of engaging them in the learning process. Creativity is strongly encouraged and completely supported from Senior Management across the board.
We have highly competitive salaries, tuition reimbursement and a host of other benefits.
