Description:
2018 - 2019 School Year

Administrator - Year Round Schedule

Assist the Assistant Superintendents in monitoring and evaluating programs and operation of district schools. Works collaboratively with other Directors and Assistant Superintendents to coordinate services with all schools. The primary functions of the Director will be to coach, evaluate and support building leadership so that we educate all students to high standards and support the district goals.

Salary: $58,844.00 - $107,306.00

Additional Job Information:
1. Plan, organize and direct operations and activities designed to support the leadership development of building administers for assigned schools. This includes the development of professional relationships with staff, students, parents, patrons and district personnel; the development of a professional learning community culture; the development of systems and procedures designed to support a focus on student learning.

2. Assess the effectiveness and direct the implementation of leadership and instructional programs and practices designed to maximize student achievement in schools, based on district, state, and national models as evidenced by student learning data.

3. Support, monitor and evaluate building principals application of district models and practices designed to maximize student achievement in schools.

4. Monitor, analyze, and facilitate professional learning needs to building level administers for assigned schools. This includes professional learning around teacher effectiveness, leadership action and student achievement.

5. Collaborate with Assistant Superintendents and actively participate in the hiring of building administrators in accordance with FWCS policies.

6. Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff in accordance with the FWCS System of Support for Principals.

7. Assess, support, mediate and resolve parent concerns for any school. Maintain appropriate documentation and follow up with school personnel to adjust skills and practices.

8. Work with Public Affairs department to promote FWCS programs through Showcase and other means.

9. Perform related duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent; must demonstrate participation in and contributions to the goals of district cross functional teams.

While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is seated or walking at will and must be able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to: master's degree in education along with a valid Indiana Administrator license or related field and eight years' experience working with educational programs and services including five years as a principal or related administrative experience working with school-based management and instruction. Must have strong planning, administrative, supervisory, analytical, computer, organizational, accountability, oral and written communication skills. Must possess knowledge of the comprehensive organization, operations, policies and objectives of assigned department or area. Director must have the ability to manage change and build effective relationships with adult learners, building staff, district support staff, parents and community.
