Caldwell School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):

Library Media Manager

Description:

The Library Media Manager implements the smooth operation of the Media Center, providing books, periodicals, and other media services to students for reading, study and recreation, and to provide the audio-visual services needed by the teachers to enhance and expand teaching capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Helps students know and appreciate books.
2. Prepares correspondence and orders for books, other media materials and supplies.
3. Receives, unpacks and processes new media materials.
4. File catalog books and materials.
5. Checks books and materials in and out.
6. Helps train and supervise student aides and parent volunteers in Media Center procedures.
7. Mends and repairs damaged books and materials.
8. Prepares overdue lists of books and other forms, as needed.
9. Keeps the Media Center inventory up-to-date.
10. Helps teachers use audio-visual equipment, keeping it stored properly, maintained, cleaned and checked.
11. Shelves books and other medial materials, keeping the Media Center facilities arranged in good order.
12. Helps teachers and other staff members prepare their materials for use.
13. Helps students find and use Media Center materials to enhance their educational potential.
14. Maintains safe working environment, and encourages colleagues to be safety minded in the performance of all school-related duties.
15. Seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
16. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
17. Has regular and predictable attendance.
18. Other duties as may be assigned by the building administrator.
